The ModelHaus program
ModelHaus indexes the folders you choose, on your computer. Your files never leave your computer. The index, thumbnails and settings are stored in a data folder on your computer and are not uploaded.
To use the free trial or a license you sign in with your email address. The program sends only what is needed to confirm your license: your sign-in, a code made from your computer's identity (not your files), and a computer name that you will see in your list of computers. No file names, paths or library content are sent.
After you sign in, the program keeps a signed license file in its data folder, so it keeps working without the internet. Whenever the program is connected to the internet it contacts our license service to renew that file and to ask whether a newer version of ModelHaus exists. Like any internet request, this shows your IP address to the service. When you ask for a sign-in code, the service also keeps that address briefly, and deletes it once it is more than an hour old, to stop one address from sending many codes.
Your account and license
When you start a trial, buy ModelHaus or sign in, we keep your email address. We also keep your license key, and for each computer on your license a computer name, the anonymous code described above, and when it was added or removed. We use these to count computers, to give each computer one free trial, and to let you manage your license. One-time sign-in codes are kept scrambled and stop working after 10 minutes.
We use Resend to send you sign-in codes and your license email, and Cloudflare to run the license service. They handle your email address on our behalf, under their own privacy policies.
When you sign in on this website, the sign-in is kept in your browser's local storage for up to 7 days or until you sign out. It is not a cookie, and it is never sent to anyone except our license service.
This website
The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes the usual technical data needed to deliver pages and keep the site safe, such as your IP address. We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies and does not track you across sites. We set no cookies ourselves, and there are no cookies to accept.
Buying
Purchases are handled by Paddle, the seller of record. Paddle collects the details needed to take payment and handle tax, such as your name, email address, country and payment details, under its own privacy policy. We receive the information Paddle shares with us, such as your email address and what you bought, to provide your license and support.
If you write to [email protected] we keep your message and our reply so we can help you. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by writing to the address above. Some records, such as proof of purchase, may need to be kept to meet legal duties.
